Residency Description: The St. Vincent Evansville & University of Evansville Neurologic Residency Program is the first neurologic residency program for physical therapists in Indiana. The program has five main components: clinical practice, didactic work, teaching, community service and research. The resident will engage in clinical practice in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient rehabilitation. The resident will serve as an adjunct faculty member in the Doctoral Physical Therapy Program at the University of Evansville. Additionally, the resident will serve as a mentor and clinical supervisor to the DPT-student run weekly group exercise class called "ACErcise" for individuals living in the community with neurologic conditions. Finally, the resident will be heavily involved with ongoing research and efforts to translate current evidence to clinical practice.
